Welcome to BJC HealthCare! Following are important steps that new employees or newly benefits-eligible employees need to take to ensure their understanding of BJC benefits and what they need to do to complete benefits enrollment.
Step 1: Prepare to enroll in BJC benefits
New employees have 31 days from date of hire to enroll in benefits (medical, dental, vision). Newly benefits-eligible employees also have 31 days from the qualified status change date of eligibility to enroll.

Step 2: Enroll in BJC benefits
Review Steps to Enroll and then go to myBJCnet to get started. You will need your network user ID and password to access myBJCnet. When you complete your enrollment, please save or print your confirmation statement showing your benefit selections.
Step 3: Post-enrollment action items
Once your benefits are effective, review the Top 10 Post-Enrollment Action Items.
Step 4: Review Paid Time Off (PTO), Short-Term Disability, Tuition Assistance & other offerings
- Eligible employees begin accumulating Paid Time Off (PTO) from day one of hire
- Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability are available to eligible BJC employees after six months of continuous employment at BJC
- Tuition assistance is available to eligible BJC employees from day one of hire
- Explore the Total Rewards site to learn about other offerings, such as 401(k)/403(b) savings plans, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Employee discounts and Wellness/Health Management Programs
