BJC’s Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) policy insures compliance with federal FMLA regulations by providing information related to your rights, responsibilities and eligibility.
Under this policy, BJC grants up to 12 weeks of unpaid job-protected leave (or up to 26 weeks of military caregiver leave to care for a covered service member with a serious injury or illness) during a 12-month period, if you are eligible.
To be eligible for a leave of absence, you must have:
Been employed within BJC for at least 12 months within a 7-year period
Worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period prior to the commencement of the leave
